Verslag van een bijzonder transport

Maandag 20 juli vertrokken Jaap en Haye met de trekker nr. 43 en de trailer nr. 230 naar de boerderij met een heftruck en hulpgoederen. Nico Groot en ondergetekende gingen dezelfde dag op pad met de nieuwe bus voor Casa Anna in Reghin en de Honda Transalp van Csaba en Imola uit Breaza die ze van hun eigen geld hebben kunnen kopen. Hun Nederlandse motorvrienden van onze stichting hebben geholpen bij de aankoop hiervan.

Maandagavond troffen we elkaar in het Paprika Hotel we hadden beiden een voorspoedige en “lekker” warme reis achter de rug. De volgende dag waren we allebei op de boerderij waar de trailer direct is gelost, na een beetje experimenteren lukte het ook om de Linde heftruck eruit te krijgen.

Imola en Csaba waren inmiddels ook aangekomen op de boerderij en konden vast een glimp van hun motorfiets in de bus zien, ze waren blij en verrast bij het zien van de motor. s’ Avonds lekker gegeten met z’n zessen in Restaurant Boema en nog even wat gedronken op het terras bij de boerderij, vroeg naar bed gaan had geen zin vanwege de warmte. Woensdagmorgen om 5:30 u reden Haye en Jaap de poort weer uit, donderdag aan het eind van de middag waren ze weer in Heerhugowaard.

Nieuws uit Breaza

Vorige week is er hondenvoer naar Breaza in Roemenië gebracht t.b.v. dogsadoptionsnederland.nl. Een deel hiervan was bestemd voor het asiel van de 75 jarige Lydia in Reghin, de rest is naar Slatina gegaan. Csaba en Imola hebben dit samen met de kinderen weggebracht naar het asiel van Lydia, daarna zijn ze naar het bejaardenhuis in Deda geweest en hebben daar de spullen gebracht. hier de link naar de foto's

Dear Mr. Maarten,

Thank you for the last truck, you sent us a lot of useful things. We, the centers of the state, have a lot of storage spaces but the racks are so old and broken, so the wood and metal racks you sent will be shared by Abrud center and the homes around. Also the locker-rooms look so modern for us, therefore will be immediately mounted in the personnel room in Abrud center. And all the furniture loaded is very welcomed, you know that we always need furniture in our centers, because these centers are rather crowded, patients are with major handicap, so the furniture is damaged often. 

What impressed me a lot this time is the personal note of the furniture: everything seems to have a story, to come from a home directly to our beneficiaries, like a special gift from a Dutch family to poor Romanian people.

For me, the special gift was the fact that I spent few wonderful hours with two wonderful people: Rob and Charles. We discussed together, we laugh, Charles discussed with his “new family” from Abrud center (you saw the deaf-mute boy in the pictures, and it seems that Charles has a new fan – a girl that is twenty years old but her mind is no more than two years old. She appreciates any sign of attention she could receive and Charles is large-handed with this gestures, he likes to shake hands and to speak (in Dutch of course) with everybody, so … he has a new fan in Abrud).

Charles found an old frame in the yard and Rob come with the idea to take “pictures”: you saw the “framed” photos, I sent to you. I look in the camera to see how I look in that pictures and I exclaimed: “Oh boy, my hat stays like I am drunk!” and Charles answered: “Romania is a strange country, I drink palinka and the lady beside my gets drunk!”.  My revenge was to take two real pictures with Charles walking behind the truck: the image is like Rob left him to walk until Holland. These are the last pictures I sent; I hope you loaded it on your blog.

In the end, I could say that again, the goods Promotie sent us this time, brought happiness to everybody, in different ways, so please send my big Thank you! to all the volunteers.

Een bericht uit Botosani

In Botosani is een groep uit Oostenrijk op bezoek, ze doen daar allerlei klussen o.a. bouwen ze

toiletten voor mensen die een wel erg armoedig hokje hebben. Er zitten ook foto's bij van het uitdelen van meel van Heel Holland Bakt. Ik denk niet dat AH en/ of Martine Bijl ooit gedacht hebben dat het hier terecht zou komen. Cristi is vorige week in Breaza geweest om nieuwe voorrad op te halen. Het zijn veel foto's maar er zitten leuke tussen.
